An ÒOlde Fashioned July 4thÓ
Will Take Place June 30th
The Capital City/ Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism
Board is pleased to present the 20th July 4th celebration
on Lake Murray. The day long celebration is scheduled for Saturday, June 30th,
2007. The celebration will begin
with an ÒOlde Fashioned 4thÓ boat parade at Noon ending with a
spectacular fireworks show at dark.
New this year! Fireworks will launch from the Lake Murray Dam. A total of
three shows will blast off at dark with a choreographed computerized music show
from the Citadel Broadcasting Network. Shows will launch from the Lake
Murray Dam, Spence Island and Dreher Island State Park. Prior to the fireworks, the Lake Murray Symphony will
perform a patriotic and beach music show at Dreher Island State Park beginning
at 8pm. The Lexington County
Choral Society will also perform with the Symphony. SCE&GÕs parks at the Lake Murray Dam will be open all
day on a first come to capacity basis.
