Harbison State Forest

Description: This series of easy multiuse paved trials provides the feeling of walking in a wilderness, but is within the neighborhoods of Harbison and Quail Valley. There are a number of loops you can choose from, with varying distances from 0.6 mile to 2.0 miles and by using spurs or connectors along with neighborhood streets you can create your own. As you walk these well shaded trails, you will pass the backyards of homes, encircle two small lakes, and pass through a wilderness wildlife habitat. A variety of birds and animals live in this area, especially near the lakes where you will see large numbers of ducks and geese. Stop by the Environmental Education Center while you are there.
