Big Bull began making BBQ sandwiches in 2013 for co-workers, quickly selling out at small events. This success inspired a foray into creating a variety of sauces. The first sauce, named Bussin in 2014 after a young man’s praise, marked the start of a collection of seven signature sauces.
In October 2014, Big Bull and Mama Bull set up at the corner of Hard Scrabble and William Harden Road, serving fried fish and BBQ. Shortly after, a search for a location led to discovering an old building on a busy road. Permission was obtained from the owner to sell food in front of the building, and meals were offered every weekend for several months.
After this initial period, the decision was made to open a restaurant. Despite numerous challenges and rejections, and with limited funds, divine guidance seemed evident as contractors provided their services at favorable rates.
On April 17, 2015, after months of anticipation and persistent updates on Facebook, the restaurant opened its doors. The journey has been filled with unforgettable experiences and stories too extensive for a brief description.
