Hanabi Hibachi & Sushi is Columbia’s newest take on Japanese cuisine.
The restaurant’s name “Hanabi” references the Japanese word for “firework” (花火) or “fire
flower,” while “hibachi” translates to “fire bowl” (火鉢 – ひばち). The two terms together
represent the inner fire and bloom within us all and create a celebratory approach to hibachi
and teppanyaki cuisine. Hanabi Hibachi & Sushi features two separate spaces, each highlighting a different aspect of their cuisine. Each environment offers a unique dining experience that combines the organic beauty of flowers in their zen garden Flower Room with the brilliance of fire and celebration with hibachi and teppanyaki cuisine in the Fire Room.
