Whether you’re looking to buy some fresh SC shrimp, home grown veggies or freshly baked breads, the Northeast Farmers Market is now one local market with two great locations. The market is open on Monday afternoons at Doko Meadows in Blythewood and Thursday afternoons at the Market Square in Lake Carolina. Both locations run from 3pm – 7pm.
Blythewood is a small town with a rich agricultural history of farms and farming families dating back hundreds of years. In recent years Blythewood has experienced substantial growth and to help preserve a sense of this unique place a dedicated space was designed, where families can enjoy locally grown produce and meat, and the local farmers can sustain their family businesses. It’s just a part of the identity of what it means to live in Blythewood. This market is a 501(c)(4) non-profit that hopes to improve the community by helping grow small businesses. The Blythewood Farmers Market accepts all forms of payment, including SNAP EBT cards.
Between April and November the market operates a regular market one day a week on Wednesday evenings. This market has food, live music, and special promotional events throughout the year (don’t miss the free wine tasting every 3rd week!).
