Capital City Lake Murray Country is proud to host the 33rd Annual 4th of July Celebration on Lake Murray, presented by Lexington Medical Center!

Saturday, July 3rd

APPROXIMATELY NOON at Bomb Island

Patriotic Boat Parade

Enjoy the patriotic display as locals & visitors decorate their boats in ways that will leave you amazed! Viewable from the park sites at the Lake Murray Dam after 1pm or by boat! Registration is closed.

 

AT DARK (approximately 9:15-9:30pm)

SOUTH CAROLINA’S LARGEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY

From two great locations: Spence Island & Dreher Island. The show is choreographed to a patriotic concert that will air simultaneously on iHeart Radio, tune into 97.5FM WCOS

 

BEST PLACES TO VIEW THE FIREWORKS:

Dreher Island State Park– Bring a chair or blanket! Picnics are welcome.

No Alcohol Permitted! Admission is $3 adults; $1.50 SC seniors; $1 children ages 6-15 with ages 5 & younger admitted free. (Gates close at 8pm)

DIRECTIONS: Dreher Island State Park is 30 miles from Columbia and 12 miles off I-26 (via Chapin exit #91). Follow the visible brown State Park signage for easy navigation.

 

The Irmo Park site at the Dam will be open until they reach capacity.

The walking path on the Dam will also be open.

PARKING IS LIMITED, EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS! (Park Admission: $5/vehicle)

(Fireworks DO NOT launch from the Park Sites at the Dam)

The Lexington Park site at the Dam WILL NOT be open & will close to the daily paid guests at 8pm. (These park decisions are made by Dominion Energy.)

 

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: All normal fees will apply at the park sites, all boat launching sites and Marinas on Lake Murray.

The fireworks are funded through CCLMC’s efforts at the Taste of Lake Murray each year!

Should thunder and lightning occur and cause a postponement, the fireworks will take place on July 4th without the parade.
