Get ready to be mesmerized by the allure of Count Dracula and his legion of vampire maidens as they take the stage at the Koger Center For The Arts this Halloween Weekend.  South Carolina Ballet’s “Dracula: Ballet with A Bite” will be performed on October 25th & 26th at 7:30 p.m., promising an evening of haunting sensuality and thrilling entertainment.
Under the direction of our CEO & Artistic Director, William Starrett, this sizzling adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel blends seductive choreography with a hauntingly beautiful score, creating an irresistible experience. Witness the hypnotic Count Dracula and his sensual journey brought to life by the extraordinary talent of the South Carolina Ballet.
Since its electrifying premiere in 1991, “Dracula” has captivated audiences nationwide. Dance Magazine hails it as an “entertaining extravaganza that guarantees the audience a good time.” Experience why this Halloween treat has thrilled audiences for over three decades.
The ballet features an original rock/jazz score composed by Thomas E. Semanski, celebrated for his ballet compositions, including “Dracula: Ballet with a Bite,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Frankenstein,” and “Dracula’s Revenge.” Semanski received the Popular Music award from the American Society of Composers for his work on “Dracula: Ballet with a Bite.” His evocative music enhances the ballet’s seductive and immersive experience.
