UPDATE: This event is currently SOLD OUT!

Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent forty years establishing itself as one of North America’s premier producers of Napa Valley wines. From its modest inaugural vintage of 800 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 800 cases of Merlot in 1978, to its addition of Sauvignon Blanc in 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has crafted a tradition of quality and excellence that continues today. The quality of Duckhorn Vineyards wines has always been based on a commitment to selecting the finest fruit. Whether carefully sourcing grapes from top sites in the Napa Valley or committing itself to establishing a world-class estate vineyard program, the winery was built on the belief that great wines begin in the vineyard.

Duckhorn wines were a mainstay on the Mr. Friendly’s wine list when Kristian opened it in ’95 and remained on the list the entire time he owned it, but this will be the FIRST TIME he will be able to do an entire menu to pair with the wines. So, to say he’s excited is an understatement. Even with Whiskey Fair and The Gervais Street Bridge Dinner cocktail bars in the days leading up to this dinner, he’s super stoked!

Here’s his menu for the evening…

Sorrel Rice – Sorrel Pesto Brown Rice with Harissa Preserved Lemon, NC Goat Feta, Pickled Carolina Shrimp and Local Vegetables

Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc

Smoked Sweet Corn Bisque with Seared Bay Scallops, Bacon, and Garlic Chive Oil

Duckhorn Chardonnay

Wood-Grilled Prime NY Strip with Charred Herb Chimichurri, Truffled Hash Browns, Seasonal Vegetable

Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon

Duckhorn Merlot
