FAAAC presents A Storytelling Celebration from 1:30-2:30pm:
Storytelling is an age-old tradition and source of inspiration for art from around the globe, but art can also inspire the stories shared by today’s raconteurs. Join CMA affinity group the Friends of African American Art & Culture (FAAAC) for a storytelling event celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as well as the exhibition The Art of Elizabeth Catlett: From the Collection of Samella Lewis, closing Sunday, January 22. Before or after visiting the galleries, head to the Reception Gallery to find four storytellers reciting tales inspired by works of art in the exhibition. Free.
