Description

The Foothills Brass Band was founded through the vision and dedication of Dr. Arthur Haecker and key members of the Upstate music community. In the fall of 2022, Dr. Haecker set out to recruit talented musicians from various backgrounds to form a dynamic brass ensemble. By May 2023, the group held its inaugural concert, marking the beginning of an exciting musical journey.

The ensemble is comprised of a diverse mix of musicians. Many are full-time professionals, including members of local orchestras, while others are music educators ranging from elementary to college level. The band also includes music students eager to hone their skills and passionate hobbyists who simply love the art of brass music. United by the joy and challenge of performing brass band repertoire, the Foothills Brass Band continues to grow, bringing powerful and captivating performances to audiences across the region.
