On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Lexington County Museum will host a free outdoor celebration for kids, parents and individuals. This year’s Great Outdoor’s Day theme is “Crafting for Birds and Birding.” This is a Columbia (SC) Audubon Society sponsored event.These crafts for children will include: Making Protective Bird Silhouettes for Home Windows, Building a Simple Bird Feeder and Creating a Cherokee Decorative Shield. The presenters will be: Jeanette Wells, Saluda Shoals Park wildlife interpreter and John Myers, Columbia Audubon Society member and Lexington County Museum interpreter. Registration is required.
