Lauren Ashley Daigle, born on September 9, 1991, is an American contemporary Christian music singer from Lafayette, Louisiana, signed to Centricity Music. Recognized with the New Artist of the Year award at the 2015 GMA Dove Awards, her song “How Can It Be” won Song of the Year. The album of the same name received a 2016 Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. Daigle, raised in Lafayette amidst Zydeco, Blues, and Cajun music, completed two years of homeschooling during high school.
