Get ready for a night where classical music meets casual cool at “Beethoven and Blue Jeans.” Don your favorite pair of jeans and channel your inner James Dean as you settle in for an evening of remarkable music. The program kicks off with Fang Man’s Noir: a concise, musical drama performed in a spicy harmonic language. Next up, the incredibly talented Noah Kim, winner of the 2023 Arthur Fraser Competition, takes the stage to dazzle us with Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2. And for the grand finale, we’ll dive into Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,” a revolutionary work that changed the course of music history. It’s a night of high notes and high spirits – perfect for music lovers who prefer their symphonies with a side of laid-back style.
