Hopkins-native and Southern Soul/Blues vocalist King George is set to perform at The Capital City Blues Fest in October, taking the stage with five other blues musicians.

Known for his party-centric sound filled with R&B flair, the SC native has garnered millions of views on his music posted to YouTube.

He was recently a headliner for the 2023 “Blues is Alright Tour” and launched his album, Juke Joint Music in 2022, according to an event press release. Popular songs include “Keep on Rollin” and “Friday Night.”

King George will be just one of six others performing at the Blues Festival, joining alongside Tucka, Calvin Richarson, Pokey Bear, J-Wonn, and a special guest.*

The festival will be held at the Colonial Life Arena on October 21, starting at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the general public online only on May 19 at 10 a.m., with presale tickets going on sale on May 17 at 10 a.m.

Ticket costs start at $59 and are available on the Ticketmaster website.
