The Parker Quartet Beethoven Cycle at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
Monday, March 27 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeEvents

Description: In celebration of its tenth anniversary as artist-in-residence with The University of South Carolina School of Music, the Parker Quartet will perform the complete Beethoven cycle over the course of six concerts in a special partnership with Historic Columbia and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Historic Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is in downtown Columbia across from the State House on the block bounded by Sumter, Gervais, Marion and Senate streets. This church, a fine example of Gothic Revival architecture with its twin towers reminiscent of the Cathedral of St. Peter (“York Minster”) in York, England, was designed by Charleston architect Edward Brickell White (1806-82) and consecrated on November 26, 1847.
Join us at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for the Parker Quartet's performance of these Beethoven quartets:
Quartet in F minor, Op. 95 “Serioso”
Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 18, No. 6
Quartet in A minor, Op. 132
Admission is FREE, but must RSVP Tickets Here
