USC Annual Veterans Day 5K

Please join us on Sunday afternoon, November 12th, to celebrate our Nation’s Veterans, and the 105th anniversary of Veterans Day (former known as Armistice Day)!

The 6th Annual Veterans Day 5K is a celebration of the 104th Anniversary of Veterans Day (formerly known as Armistice Day) and honors our service members and veterans here in Columbia. The route features many monuments and landmarks, both of the University Campus, and of South Carolina’s veterans, including the Horseshoe, the World War memorial, the Russell House, the South Carolina Veterans Memorial by the State House, and more!

The 5K is a fundraiser benefiting the Big Red Barn Retreat, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Big Red Barn Retreat (BRBR) offers integrated practices and programs that allow Warriors to thrive at home. These integrated practices are alternatives to traditional treatments; and are provided to veterans, active duty service members, and first responders at little to no cost to them. The 5K will take place on November 12th, starting at 2:00 p.m., and all are encouraged to join in whether you prefer to run, walk, or ruck.
