The USC Wind Ensemble’s March performance is highlighted by Joseph Schwantner’s groundbreaking 1977 work …and the mountains rising nowhere featuring singing, whistling, and extensive percussion to create an ethereal tapestry of sound. The concert opens with USC alumnus Andy Akiho’s (BM ’01) Ondine’s Epilogue and will also include the world premiere of a new work composed by USC School of Music graduate student Zach Cook.
