Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” at Newberry Opera House

The Carolina Music Planner String Quartet is looking forward to performing Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.” This work is amongst Vivaldi’s most-notable compositions and one of the earliest examples of program music. Each of the four violin concerti (the “seasons”) are split into three movements. Vivaldi wrote the pieces to accompany poems bringing Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter to life through music.

Carolina Music Planner’s String Quartet performs for private events in the Southeastern United States year-round, from weddings & corporate events to commercial projects. Consisting of Mariya Potapova, Teresa Van Audenhove Curran, Cameron Rehberg, and Megan Leigh Johnson-Barnes, the members are seasoned, passionate string performers with decades of experience. Living in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina, they perform together often and enjoy playing classical repertoire as well as popular modern covers. From Vivaldi to Metallica, the quartet enjoys covering all musical genres. Carolina Music Planner’s stringed ensembles have become highly sought after, frequently performing at the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, Old Edwards Inn, and other notable venues in the Carolinas.
