Join us for this weekend full of events! Beginning December 5, visitors can take a ride through the Cayce City Hall complex and enjoy the magic of thousands of twinkling lights and music of the season. Christmas in Cayce is sponsored by several local, corporate partners so all events are free.
Thursday, Dec. 5, 6 p.m.
42nd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Cayce, this event will also include greetings from City officials, holiday thoughts, musical performances from local schools , and a visit from Santa. In addition, The Woman’s Club is collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items as part of the 17th Annual Cayce Cares project, which benefits God’s Helping Hands.
Friday, Dec. 6, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Carols Along the Riverwalk, N Avenue entrance to Cayce Riverwalk – The sounds of the holidays overflow during this reverse caroling featuring our local church choirs and musicians. Enjoy free hot chocolate, coffee and cookies as you meander through the first half mile of the Riverwalk. Parking is available at Brookland-Cayce High School and a free trolley will transport everyone to the event.
Saturday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m.
The Cayce Historical Museums Annual Christmas Traditions Open House. The sights, sounds, and tastes of Christmas will abound with each room decorated with trees and crafts from the 18th century to present. The event will also feature live entertainment, docents dressed in period attire, and light refreshments. The lantern tours are back this year!
Saturday, Dec. 14, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
West Metro Holiday Parade of Lights. One of the most anticipated night holiday parades in the Midlands, the route will begin in front of Cayce City Hall and proceed down 12th Street ending at the corner of Hwy. 1 & 12th Street in West Columbia.
