As we say goodbye to summertime, the fun continues in Lake Murray Country. The region has a number of fall events and activities to help you embrace the seasonal spirit, including corn mazes, haunted houses, and delicious barbecue food. Check out this list of autumn events, mark your calendar, and let the autumn adventures begin!

 

๐Ÿ‚ Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Market

Saturday, September 16 – Sunday, September 17 | 3483 Charleston Hwy. West Columbia, SC 29172ย 

  • Come out to the annual Fall Arts & Crafts Market in West Columbia, SC for an incredible 2-day event featuring a lineup of over 100 vendors.   • Clinton Sease Farm is the perfect destination for people of all ages looking to get into the autumn spirit. Get your fix of pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides, and more all in one trip. Snap some gram-worthy pictures of you, your family, and/or your friends around the farm. This yearโ€™s corn maze is themed โ€œLake Murray, the Jewel of South Carolinaโ€.

  • The annual Harvest Festival is a family-friendly event that connects the community and gives visitors a chance to experience this 8th-generation family farm. Come out for an afternoon and evening of fall fun. More information to come.

 

๐Ÿ‚ Blythewood Oktoberfest

Friday, October 6 – Saturday, October 7 | Doko Meadows Park, Blythewood, SC | Free

  • This yearโ€™s Blythewood Oktoberfest is presented by the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce. The event features a 5K, yodeling contests, bingo, merchandise vendors, tons of food, and lots of beer (German, local, and domestic brands). A portion of the net proceeds will be donated to scholarships and charities.ย 

 

๐Ÿ‚ Fall Family Fun at Lever Farms

Every Saturday in October, 10 AM – 5 PM | 5057 SC-34, Pomaria, SC 29126 | $10

  • Discover wholesome family fun at Lever Farms this fall. Enjoy the kid-size corn maze, farm games, wagon rides, and interactions with farm animals. Choose your perfect pumpkin from the patch or farm stand. No pets are allowed in the corn maze, farm games, or on hayrides.

 

๐Ÿ‚ Newberry Oktoberfest

Saturday, October 7 | 10 AM – 6 PM | Historic Downtown Newberry, SC | Free

  • Newberry Oktoberfest features German cuisine, a lively Biergarten, an array of arts and crafts vendors, captivating live entertainment for everyone, community engagement, and an overall festive autumn ambiance. Don’t miss out on the activities at Kindertown, the live music at Rocktoberfest Stage, the captivating display of classic cars at the Coke Mural Parking lot, and be sure to explore the entirety of the event area for additional discoveries such as roaming performers, unique novelties, and countless other sources of amusement.

Saturday, October 7 | 1800 12th Street, Cayce SC | Free

  • Cayce Fall Fest takes place at Granby Gardens Park. This culturally diverse event has live music, great food and drinks (including beer and wine), vendors, a free kidโ€™s area, and more. Keep your eyes out for more information to come.

 

๐Ÿ‚ Gaston Collard and BBQ Fest

Saturday, October 7 | 10 AM | 131 North Carlisle Street, Gaston SC | Free

  • The festival starts on Friday with a BBQ competition. On Saturday, there’s a parade at 131 North Carlisle Street behind Gaston Town Hall before the festival. Enjoy live music, free rides, and browse through crafters, vendors, and exhibitors. The kitchen opens at 11:30 AM, serving Collards and BBQ Plates with all your favorite Southern specialties. Gaston offers a clean, family-friendly festival with no alcohol permitted on the premises.ย 

 

๐Ÿ‚ Fall for the Arts presented by Arts on the Ridge

Sunday, October 8 | 3 – 7 PM | North Oak Street, Batesburg, SC | Free

  • Enjoy music by Robbie Cockrell Band while shopping with the arts and crafts vendors. This is a great opportunity to support local artists. Be sure to browse each of the vendors for cool and unique finds. Food and drinks are available (no coolers please). Bring a chair and enjoy the day at the only one-way street in town.

 

๐Ÿ‚ Ridge Spring Harvest Festival

Thursday, October 12 – Saturday, October 14 | West Main Street, Ridge Spring, SC | Free

  • The Ridge Spring Harvest Festival celebrates the season with a parade, arts and crafts, music, food, and a whole lot more. Taste delicious meats and more at the BBQ competition that takes place on Saturday, and be sure to stay through the evening to catch the fireworks show at the end of the night.
