There’s snow-place like the Capital City/Lake Murray Country region for the holidays! Take a drive and see millions of colorful lights from the comfort of your vehicle or meander through the zoo and sip hot cocoa. Make a new holiday tradition this year with the first-ever Fireflies Holiday Lights at Segra Park and take a photo with Santa and Mason, the Fireflies mascot. Holiday Lights on the River at Saluda Shoals Park
Each year, Saluda Shoals Park hosts the largest drive-through lights show in all of the Midlands, decorated with euphoric displays using over a million glowing lights. If you’re dreaming of a bright Christmas, come see over 400 animated displays of all shapes and sizes. Experience this winter wonderland from November 25 – December 31, from 6 to 10 PM. Join the Columbia Fireflies at Segra Park for a new Midlands holiday tradition. From November 19 – December 31, Segra Park will be decked out with over one million LED lights, featuring 10 themed areas, kid’s crafts, and holiday-themed food and drinks. Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens – Lights Before Christmas
Enjoy Columbia’s longest-running holiday tradition! While most of the animals will be catching up on precious beauty rest, over a million twinkling LED lights will be sure to keep you awake in awe and wonder. This event takes place on select days during November and December, so be sure to check out Riverbanks.org for more details.
Carolina Lights, Drive-Through Light Show
Still, dreaming of an even brighter Christmas? For the fourth year in a row, the South Carolina State Fair will host a drive-through light show, called Carolina Lights! From December 4-26, come visit this special event with over 100 different light displays that are sure to make you love the holiday season a whole watt.
