Day 1 Postponed of Bassmaster Elite at Lake Murray

COLUMBIA, S.C. — After consulting with the National Weather Service, B.A.S.S. officials are postponing Day 1 (Thursday, May 9) of competition at the Minn Kota Bassmaster Elite at Lake Murray due to high winds and the possibility of severe weather. The full field of anglers will now compete on Friday and Saturday, with the Top 50 competing on Sunday and the Top 10 advancing to Championship Monday.

The FREE Family-Friendly Expo will continue as planned on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12. Enjoy booths/exhibits from The Gamecock Bass Fishing Team, Realtor-Cat Thornton, Lews/Strike King fishing simulator, South Carolina Wildlife Federation, and many more. Come hungry for Big Boys BBQ and Sarah’s Rockin’ Kitchen food trucks. Exhibits from B.A.S.S. sponsors include the Toyota Experience, Minn Kota/Humminbird, Dakota Lithium, Power Pole, Ranger Boats, Yamaha, Daiwa, and Garmin.

*Parking on Dreher Island is $3 (per adult), $1.50 (Adults 65 years and older), and $1 (Ages 6-15).

Daily takeoffs will be held Dreher Island State Park at 7 a.m. ET with weigh-ins each day back at the park at 3 p.m. Bassmaster LIVE will be streaming on Bassmaster.com all four days, and coverage will also be available on FS1 on Saturday and Sunday.
