Ms. Jean Named South Carolina Hospitality Employee of the Year

“Ms. Jean” received the South Carolina Association of Tourism Regions, Hospitality Employee of the Year Award in recognition of her dedication and exceptional guest service of over 20 years on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Governor’s Mansion. 

Columbia, S.C. – Thelma Seibles, fondly known as “Ms. Jean,” continues to shine in the hospitality industry. Ms. Jean was awarded the South Carolina Association of Tourism Regions (SCATR) Hospitality Employee of the Year Award by Governor McMaster on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia, S.C. Ms. Jean was a semi-finalist for the prestigious award having previously secured the Hospitality Employee of the Year (HEY) Award for the Capital City/Lake Murray Country Region (CCLMC).

SCATR’s HEY Award celebrates individuals like Ms. Jean who consistently exceed expectations in their roles. “Ms. Jean’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional guest service for visitors for over two decades at the Doubletree by Hilton Columbia, SC has distinguished her as a true ambassador for the state of South Carolina, said Miriam Atria, President/CEO for CCLMC.
