With a name like “The Grand on Main”, you can bet the expectations are high- and from the moment you walk into the historic landmark in Downtown Columbia- it’s certain you won’t be disappointed!
The Grand is a boutique bowling alley, restaurant and bar that serves as your destination for fun and food! Boasting a swank décor, local art and 7 bowling lanes it’s like the appetizer to fun- then there’s an outdoor patio with yard games, a full bar upstairs and an iPour Tap Room located downstairs- that let’s you pour your own local craft beer or wine. Just before you fill up on fun, there’s the main course- the restaurant!
Like any good business leader, you’re only as good as the folks on your team and Executive Chef Mike Ellis has found an outstanding team to prep, cook, serve and keep the customers wanting for more! The menu showcases a variety of dishes perfect for snacking, brunching, lunching or dining. Among the diverse favorites- Tijuana Egg Rolls or Thai-style Calamari to start; Cinnamon Crunch French Toast, Lobster Benedict or a trio of crepes to chose for brunch.
But when it comes to dinner there are two dishes that overwhelm the senses, and taste buds alike! Momma’s Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf is the meatloaf you dreamed your mom would make- it’s a meal and a half! But the real treat is Sous Chef Fantino Guinyard’s Chicken and Waffles! The fluffy oversized buttermilk waffle is topped with half of a “broasted” chicken and topped with a healthy douse of bourbon, caramel sautéed peaches and finished with a dollop of whip cream! “Sumptuous” is just a tease!
Dining at The Grand is a must- no reservations required (but can be made online) and they are open 7 days a week. Don’t wait rush on down to Main Street for food and fun at The Grand.
CHEF QUESTION:
What is your favorite ingredient to cook with?
