The rich historical background of the park, its amenities include picnic tables, benches, a playground, public restrooms and water fountains. There is also a beautiful brick amphitheater as well as a walkway that offers views of the inside of the 1906 water plant. The paved trail along the river is a popular area for runners, walkers and bicyclists of all skill levels. The trail has emergency call stations spread throughout the 3 miles and lighted and paved trails that are regularly patrolled by park rangers.
